Adeal is abuzz wuith the pending release of three models in its Kata Bumblebee lightweight pro backpack range.
The Bumblebee 222 UL backpack, in black with yellow highlights, features a combination of technology, materials and design for ‘lightweight protection without compromise’.
It will fit a Pro DSLR with up to 70-200 f2.8 lens attached, an additional camera body, 4 lenses, flash and accessories; or a compact camcorder with accessories. It will also accommodate at laptop up to 17-inch screen size.
The bag is designed with double compartments: In the lower compartment there is a special padded camera insert, cocoon pouches and Aeriform dividers to fit the camera/camcorder with accessories, while in the upper compartment there is plenty of space for personal effects. When needed, the lower compartment can be emptied of the padded dividers and pouches, and the zippered partition between the two compartments can be opened to create one large storage space.
A variety of external pockets will store items you need rapid access to, such as wallet, phone, water bottle etc., while the double purpose pocket at the bottom front of the bag can be used for either additional storage or as a docking base to secure a small tripod.
The Bumblebee 222 UL has an RRP of $450.
The MiniBee-111 UL backpack will fit a DSLR (without grip and booster), a lens up to 70-200mm attached, 3-5 lenses, flash, accessories; or a compact camcorder, chargers and accessories. It will also accommodate most 13-inch laptops, an Ipad or netbook.
Like its big brother, it features Kata’s double compartment design.
The MiniBee 111 is available in two colour options: light grey with white accents and yellow highlights, or black with yellow highlights.

The Minibee-120 PL is a professional, multi-featured, on-board backpack designed to provide the best carrying, storage and working solutions for a DSLR (without grip and booster), with a 70-200mm lens attached, 6-8 extra lenses, flash, and many other accessories; OR a compact camcorder, chargers and accessories. It will also accommodate most 13-inch laptops, an Ipad or netbook.
The bag can be opened fully or sectioned into top and bottom access, and the Aeriform dividers and cocoon pouches can be configured to custom fit your gear needs and preferred working mode.
RRP is $420.
All three new models are available mid-August, with retailers’ orders being taken now.
