Polaroid announced the Polaroid Mint 2-in-1 instant digital camera and printer and the Polaroid Mint instant digital pocket printer at the IFA trade show in Berlin in late January.
The Polaroid Mint camera offers a choice of three picture modes – colour, black and white or sepia, with optional frames.
Polaroid Mint 2-in1 camera feautures:
– 16-megapixel digital camera;
– MicroSD card slot for up to 256 GB of storage;
– Integrated selfie mirror;
– Automatic LED flash;
– Self-timer
Available in black, white, red, blue and yellow.
The Mint Instant digital printer enables printing from a smartphone or tablet, connecting via an app and Bluetooth to produce 2×3-inch glossy colour photos in less than a minute. The app features editing, filters, frames, stickers and more. It has a battery life for 50 photos.
Polaroid Mint instant printer features:
– Standard USB charging cable/port;
– Polaroid Mint app compatible with both iOS and Android devices;
Available in black, white, red, blue and yellow.
Both the Polaroid Mint camera and printer use ink-free Zero Ink thermal printing technology for printing without ink cartridges, ribbons or toner.
The new Mint camera and printer will be available worldwide in the fourth quarter, with local distributor, Brands Australia confirming that local release details are not far away.
What, if any; is the difference of the new mint and the snap cameras?
I have the snap touch; and other than the view screen, I see no difference in what the new mint does.

That’s a great question! While they are quite similar products, the Mint Camera is the latest in the Polaroid digital range. The new design comes with a 16-megapixel camera. This is an upgrade from the 10-megapixel’s which the Polaroid Snap Instant Digital camera offers. The Mint also has a longer battery life and allows for more creativity with borders and filters.

But one drawback of the mint camera is that it lacks the connectivity of allowing other mobile devices to print through it which is available in snap.
