PMA has announced a special limited-period one-day rate of $150 for members who are unable to attend the full three days of the 2014 specialty industry conference, Oct 31 – Nov 2 at the Manly Pacific Novotel Hotel.
The $150 one-day registration is for the Sunday, with the focus of the day on photo retailing and ‘Moving to the Consumer’. The offer is only open until next Tuesday, October 14. The Sunday program is the most extensive of the conference and features three international guest speakers: Bill McCurry, who will share the podium with John Swainston (Maxwell International) to discuss the opportunities in specialty retailing; Ed Monahan, chief strategist for Kodak Alaris, examining the current trends in the photo retailing market; and Alex Christianian (Mikes Cameras) who will explain how his US 12-store photo specialist chain has successfully integrated camera and accessory sales and photo printing services. The one-hour Supplier Forum discussion, always a highlight of PMA conferences, now has an additional participant in Stuart Holmes (Independent Photo Services) who will join executives from Nikon, Olympus, Fujifilm, Maxwell International, CR Kennedy and Canon.
Next on the program is a Retailer Forum, which will include Matt Paxton,( Paxtons Camera and Video); Matthew Hourigan (Bendigo CH); Chris Norman (Echuca CH); and representatives from Teds Cameras and Digidirect
With the conference now less than a month away, PMA is keen to see registrations confirmed over the next week or so to assist with planning and logistics.
