Epson announced pricing for the D700 ex-GST of $3995 back in October, equivalent to the GST-included pricing from Kayell. For full technical details on the 6-colour, 360 print-per-hour D700, click here.

There is also a bundle of the D700 with third-party Mirage Lab inkjet printer management software for $5339. Three year warranties as opposed to the included standard one-year warranty are $5274 without the Mirage Lab printer software and $6219 including the software.

Kayell is claiming the D700 produces an 8×10-inch print for 50 cents, which would equate to a 6×4-inch for under 15 cents.

There are D700s in Kayell showrooms in Sydney and Melbourne with a demonstration unit in Brisbane early 2015. Kayell managing director Robert Gatto told Photo Counter that so far there had been interest from retail minilabs, portrait photographers and schools/graduation specialists.
