Adeal has announced the release of Manfrotto 500 video heads, to replace the 701HDV in the line-up.
The Manfrotto 500 fluid video head comes in two variations: 60mm half-ball (MVH500A – $295) or flat base (MVH500AH – $255). It features professional fluid cartridges on both pan and tilt axes; a new side lock system that allows the camera and sliding QR plate to click quickly into the head from above;, and Manfrotto’s Bridging Technology, which provides a wider platform for HDSLR bodies, and more sliding plate travel for balancing the latest cameras used with interchangeable lenses.
One Easy Link 3/8-inch connector allows an external monitor or other accessory equipment to be fitted.
The 500 has a pre-set counterbalance of 2.4kg, but is able to support equipment of up to 5kg. It will also be available in a number of pre-matched tripod kits with prices ranging from $765 for an aluminium tripod to $1375 for carbon fibre.
