Adeal has announced the Manfrotto Befree, a lightweight travellers’ tripod which sacrifices nothing in professional-standard reliability.
The Befree’s unique folding mechanism enables its legs to fold around the head and quick release plate attachment. In the closed position, it’s only 40cm long. Maximum height is 144cm, minimum height 34cm, while aluminium construction makes the tripod easy to carry, with a total weight of 2.4kg.
It comes with a dedicated shoulder bag to protect it from accidental damage, while making it comfortable to carry and easy to pack in luggage.
Its new aluminium ball head is solid, quick and simple to operate, while sturdy aluminium leg locks assure stability. The new patented leg angle selectors allow for two inclinations offering maximum versatility for camera positioning.
Maximum payload is 4kg, so it can be used with larger cameras and long zoom lenses.
The eye-catching Italian design and finish completes the package, which will carry an RRP of $250.
