CR Kennedy has announced its appointment as distributor for Hoya filters and Black Rapid camera straps.
Black Rapid is being distributed by CR Kennedy now, and Hoya moves over from Adeal from September 1.
‘This makes us even more the one-stop shop,’ said CR Kennedy Pty Ltd managing director, Malcolm Kennedy. CR Kennedy distributes over 20 top photographic brands, from Hasselblad, Pentax, Ricoh and Sigma in cameras through to Tamrac bags, SanDisk memory products, Vanguard and Slik tripods, and now Hoya and Black Rapid.
Hoya is the world market leader in filters, while Black Rapid, founded in 2008 by pro photographer Ron Henry, gained popularity with a strap design where the camera hangs upside down securely at the photographer’s side, ready to maneuvre into position at a moment’s notice. When ready to take a photo, the patented ConnectR allows the camera to quickly glide up the strap and into shooting position.
