Fresh ‘Baker’s Dozen’ from Tamrac

Australian Tamrac distributor, CR Kennedy, has announced the release of new Tamrac bags, backpacks and cases for 2012.

Tamrac has released a ‘bakers’ dozen’ of new products in the Zuma, Rally, Aria, Evolution and Velocity series.

The Zuma travel bag series series has four new releases, three of which (Zuma Compact, Zuma 3 and Zuma 5 – pictured right) are shoulder bags. The range runs from a smaller bag for compact mirrorless cameras to a model which will accommodate a compact DSLR with long lens attached.

All bags feature internal ‘Windowpane-Mesh’ pockets, ideal for organising memory cards and batteries. The larger bags feature enough space for an iPad and Tamrac’s ZipShot Mini Tripod.

The Zuma 9 Secure Traveller is the ideal backpack for discreetly and safely carrying a DSLR with a long lens attached. For added security, access is via a rear-opening, which when worn is against your back. It is designed to be switched from the back to the front, so when the user to ready to shoot they can easily and securely access their camera.

The Rally Micro 3440 holds a mirrorless camera with lens attached, an extra lens, a small flash and accessories – without advertising that it’s a camera bag. A Speed Flap Top provides complete coverage and an EasySqueeze quick-release buckle, hook and loop closures provide security. With a zippered front pocket featuring internal paraphernalia pockets, ideal for extra memory cards and batteries, as well as two mesh side pockets to hold items like a phone or iPod.

The Aria series has two new releases (Aria 3 pictured right, and Aria 6), designed primarily for female photographers looking for a stylish but discreet camera bag. The bags offer protection for a DSLR and lenses without advertising what’s inside. Both models feature zippered front pockets to hold camera accessories and personal items such as keys, wallets or cosmetics. Slim side pockets are ideal for a phone or iPod, while an open back pocket allows paperwork to be easily accessed. These sophisticated camera bags are available in black, brown and moss green.

The Evolution series has two new backpack releases, designed for long distance transportation. The Super Telephoto Lens Pack 5793 is specially designed to hold a large telephoto lens attached to a pro DSLR with a grip. A unique divider systems secures the camera and adjusts to provide a perfect fit for lenses of varying lengths. On the front, Tamrac’s QuickClip tripod attachment system provides fast access to a monopod or tripod.

The Speed Roller 5797 (pictured left) allows you to roll your heavy photo gear on smooth ball-bearing wheels, but converts to a backpack when needed. The bottom compartments holds a DLSR with a 70-200mm lens attached (up to 20cm), several extra lenses and a flash. The top compartment is completely adjustable, with foam padded dividers to hold a second DSLR with a zoom lens attached, and two small lenses. A foam-padded pocket will accommodate an average-sized laptop. Also features the Tamrac QuickClip tripod attachment, and the Tuck-a-way harness system keeps the backpack harness out of the way when used as a roller.

The Velocity series is Tamrac’s range of snoot bags, with the 6x, 7x and 8x now available in dark grey/burgundy.

CR Kennedy did not supply RRPs for these products. See the Tamrac range on the CR Kennedy stand at The Digital Show, Melbourne, May 25 – 27.
