Adeal on the road again, again

The Adeal team is ‘on the road’ again following Photokina, with a tour down the east coast – in a self-drive 3-tonne truck – and across to Perth.

The roadshows are becoming a regular event and represent Adeal’s biggest annual marketing and sales initiative, with the company seeing greater value in this B2B approach compared to participation in the increasingly consumer-focussed Digital Show.

The Adeal Roadshow schedule is:
Gold Coast: October 7 – 8
Brisbane: October 10 – 11
Melbourne: October 14 – 17
Sydney: October 22 – 24
Perth: October 28 – 31

Adeal brand manager, Gary Pertot (pictured above right), said there will be new-release Leica products on show fresh from Photokina, along with the new 2012/13 range from Kata, Manfrotto bags and carbon fibre tripods and the new Sympla video rigging system.

He added that Adeal had some interesting new POS concepts to show along with a comprehensive range of products.

There will be some one-off special offers only available to retailers who attend the roadshow sessions, ‘a further opportunity for profit’.

The roadshow is organised on an one-on-one appointment basis, with retailers booking a time with their local Adeal rep and coming in for an hour to 90 minutes over the two to four days at each venue. Where possible a Sunday has been included so that busy store owners who otherwise can’t get away can attend.

Adeal is also encouraging retailers to send all their staff along, after hours if that suits, to get a full run-down of the latest products from the Adeal brand portfolio.

He said Adeal was particularly keen to talk to retail staff about techniques to lift attachment rates.

‘You might make just $25 selling say a Canon 650D. But sell a couple of filters and a bag and you can make easily $50 on those add-ons alone.

‘You are doing customers a disservice letting them walk out of the store without at least a protective filter and a bag,’ he said. ‘Not to mention doing yourself a disservice!’

He said spots for Brisbane and the Gold Coast in particular were filling fast, and  encouraged dealers to make a booking early.
