Titanium Leica D-Lux 5 announced

Adeal has announced limited local availability of the Leica D-Lux 5 Titanium Special Edition, featuring a sleek, titanium-anodized body.

Adeal says the previous D-Lux 4 Titanium Special Edition was extremely popular and sold out quickly. There will be only 120 D-Lux 5 Titanium Special Edition units available, at an RRP of $1299.

The D-Lux 5 Titanium Special Edition is characterised by sophisticated design and the refined titanium finish. Highest-quality materials, the silkiness of its titanium anodized finish, and an exclusive leather case make this limited special edition a particularly desirable piece for Leica connoisseurs and lovers of excellent design.

Other key features are:
– Fast Leica DC Vario-Summicron 5.1–19.2 mm f2 – 3.3 ASPH lens (24 – 90 mm zoom range). Leica claims this lens is a ‘milestone in the history of lenses for compact cameras’;
– A 1/1.63-inch CCD image sensor – one of the largest in its class, significantly increases image quality at the standard resolution of 10.1 megapixels with reduced image noise.
– AVCHD Lite format, 720p HD-video. The autofocus function and the entire 3.8 x zoom range remain available during recording.
