Maxwell International continues to enjoy success with online promotions, with the Tamron Shoot To Thrill competition garnering thousands of regsistrations in its first weeks.
The Tamron ‘Shoot to Thrill’ competition is offering a top prize of a trip to South Africa worth $20,000 to Tamron lens purchasers who best respond to the question, why you find photography thrilling.
It’s actually two separate competitions under one umbrella, as there is also the chance to win the much-awarded Tamron 18 – 270mm lens by uploading images to the ‘Shoot To Thrill’ gallery.
Although still in its early stages (the competition continues through to February) 4000 people have registered on the website, which is getting 1000 website visitors a day.
Given the success to date, Maxwell will ramp up advertising efforts across a range of relevant print media. The eye-catching campaign tag line, ‘1 in 5 wins’ has generated a lot of interest in the promotion.
‘We have been really pleased with the early response to our Shoot to Thrill campaign,’ said Maxwell International marketing manager, Brendan Lee.
‘We saw a great growth immediately in photo submissions, but as we had hoped the Tamron Lens Purchase submissions have now started growing at a similar rate.
‘The Maxwell team has been working in tandem with retailers to design clever, eye-catching displays to promote the campaign and give as much sell-through support as possible. It is really rewarding to see early results on all the hard work that has been put in.’
