April 20, 2011: Samsung Electronics has released details of new models that will be added to its digital camera line-up.
The $749 NX11 is an upgraded model based on the NX10 and compatible with the new i-Function lenses. The NX11 will come with a 18-55mm i-Function lens, as well as two new i-Function lenses, a 20mm pancake and a 20-50mm zoom lens. Like its predecessor, the NX11 supports 720p video recording.
Three new ultra-zoom models include the WB700 with an 18x zoom, WB210 with a 12x zoom and PL210 with a 10x zoom. All feature 14-megapixel CCD sensors and HD video recording. An intuitive new Smart Access user interface makes shooting still and videos straightforward.
New additions to Samsung’s 2View include the ST700 and PL120. The ST700 boasts a 1.8-inch front LCD screen and 3-inch tough-screen monitor with a Smart Access UI. It comes with a 16.1-megapixel image sensor and 26mm 5x optical zoom lens. The PL120 sports a bright 1.5-inch front screen. Both models include an Easy Self Shot feature that allows the photographer to use only the front screen when shooting self portraits.
