March 10, 2011: UK manufacturer, Adventa has launched a selection of new products to complement its line of Instant Photo Gifts.
The Adventa range includes ‘analogue’ versions of many of those gift items currently produced using dye transfer processes – such as mouse mats, frames, keyrings, coasters and placemats. The range also includes simple and attractive seasonal and occasional slip-in greeting cards, complete with envelopes.
The retailer produces prints using existing equipment – generally a silver halide printer – trims to size, slips the customer’s print into the gift product and seals the enclosure.
Alternatively, retailers can sell the instant photo gift ‘blanks’ for DIY production of gift products at home.
Over the past few months, photo jute bags, glitter domes, photo pens and a selection of contemporary fridge frames have joined the range.
Australasian distributors, Berica Marketing has seen strong growth as photo stores have been quick to recognise opportunity in the gifting market. According to Richard Beatson, Berica’s managing director, an increasing number of retailers have adopted the product – driven by consumer demand and industry trends.
Another key driver has been the ease of integration with leading photo retailing e-commerce systems. Retailers already using the Dakis software suite, for instance, can access Adventa templates, product graphics and marketing resources to fully maximise sales opportunity online.
Adventa say they are committed to the photo channel and plan further product releases through 2011.
