Nikon Australia has announced
Micro lens, an APS-C‐format
prime lens designed for macro photography.
The relatively bright and fast 40mm f2.8 enables shooting as close as 16cm for capturing detailed life-size images of small subjects. Maximum reproduction ratio is 1;1. Minimum aperture is f22.
The lens features a built‐in Silent Wave Motor that enables quiet autofocus ‐ vital for close‐up photography of insects and animals. It can also be focussed manually.
The AF‐S Nikkor 40mm f2.8G will be available from Nikon stockists from August 25 at an RRP of $449.
