March 17, 2011: The Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) has developed two applications for all iPhone and iPad users, free to both members and non-members.
The new app enables users to stay in touch with AIPP news and events.
The AIPP app features include:
•An events calendar;
•’Search for a Pro’;
•News feed from AIPP national office;
•Live streaming video from selected AIPP events, seminars and award presentations;
•A social networking function, enabling AIPP members to interact with each other via the app;
•Details of activities from AIPP Commercial division;
•Direct link to Canon AIPP APPA site (AIPP APPA App?);
•The Nikon AIPP Event updates;
•AIPP Image gallery;
•Direct feed from the AIPP Facebook group;
•Newsfeed from your state;
•’My APPA Points’ which enables users to check their Canon AIPP Australian Professional Photography Awards points;
•’My CPD Points’ which enables users to check their AIPP Continuing Professional Development points;
•Direct link to download ‘ro Wedding’ iPhone App;
•AIPP sponsor details, enabling members to find sponsors and take advantage of sponsor offers to members;

The AIPP has also released a dedicated AIPP Wedding app, which once again is free and designed to assist couples who are looking for a professional wedding photographer.
The AIPP Wedding app:
•Explains the difference between a professional photographer and an amateur and why its worth having a professional for your wedding;
•Provides articles and content direct from the AIPP’s Pro Wedding website;
•Contains ‘Real Weddings’ articles from brides explaining their weddings;
•Provides a large photo gallery of featured photographers’ images;
•Has a state-by-state directory allowing brides to search for a professional wedding photographer in their area.
