Sony rolls out budget Cyber-shots

March 25, 2010: Sony has introduced its new range of entry-level Cyber-shot S and W series digital cameras in Australia, ranging from just $149.
New additions to the Cyber-shot W series are the W380, W370, W350, W320 and W310 models. They are availablein a range of colours and up to 14.1 megapixel resolution, and equipped with wide angle optical zoom lenses from 4 x to 7x, depending on the model.

In addition to the usual package of features, the W380, W370 and W350 models all feature Sweep Panorama for capturing panoramas with just one sweep (example below), and can capture 720p HD MPEG4 video. They are compatible with both Sony’s Memory Stick and SD/SDHC Memory Cards.

The new entry-level ($149) Cyber-shot S2100 features 12 megapixel resolution and a 3-inch LCD screen. It also features Optical SteadyShot, Intelligent Auto (iAuto) mode and ‘Smile Shutter’ technology.
