PoGo bounces back

December 7, 2010: Hagemeyer has released the Polaroid PoGo, a mini printer from Polaroid which will print an instant photograph from a compatible Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone or a PictBridge-compatible digital camera in less than 60 seconds.

The pocket-sized Polaroid PoGo printer, previewed at this year’s PMA Show in Melbourne, and anticipated for over 12 months, uses Zink technology that requires no ink. (The printer was actually announced in Australia in October 2008, according to our records. This latest announcement appears to be a re-launch of the same product, with more announcements to come in the new year, according to Polaroid.)

The PoGo printer creates a borderless 5 x 7.5cm (2×3-inch)print that is immediately dry to the touch, is smudge-proof, water and tear-resistant, and features a peel-off sticky back so the shot can be placed on notice boards, books, walls and refrigerators for easy display.

It comes with a 7.2V rechargeable lithium-ion battery or can run direct from mains power via the AC adapter input.

The printer has an RRP of $129.95 and the photo paper packs are $6.95 (RRP) for 10 sheets and $19.95 (RRP) for 30.
