July 13, 2010: Leica distributor Adeal has announced that it has moved its Leica Service Centre to Camera Clinic in the Melbourne suburb of Collingwood.
Adeal says this will deliver reliable and faster service to Leica customers.
‘The increasing sophistication of Leica equipment and the demand for ongoing training of technicians provided a real challenge for our in-house workshop, with only one full-time technician.
‘Partnering with Camera Clinic means a whole group of Leica trained technicians, thus ensuring the best possible turnaround time for our customers,’ said Adeal business director, Mark Cummins.
Wayne Rogers, managing director, Camera Clinic, commented: ‘Camera Clinic has state-of-the-art facilities to deal with today’s sophisticated digital equipment. We are pleased to be associated with such a prestigious brand as Leica.’
Camera Clinic will also handle Tokina lenses, Inca studio flash and and Sunpak flash as part of the expanded partnership. Adeal will continue to handle servicing for Manfrotto and Gitzo tripods.
Both Camera Clinic founder, Laurie Rogers, and Adeal CEO, Sieglind D’Arcy said they are ‘delighted to strengthen a relationship which has existed between the two companies for decades.’
