APS delivers price drop on Kodak paper

August 30, 2010: Australian Photo Supplies (APS) has announced a price reduction on Kodak Edge and Royal colour paper, averaging around 10 percent.

APS assumed direct distribution of Kodak paper and chemistry from its air-conditioned Melbourne warehouse on July 1, with managing director Rob Dessmann indicating to Photo Counter at the time he was aiming to reduce pricing once the new arrangements were ‘bedded in’.

‘As a result of continuing to work with Kodak Australia and the simplification of our operations, we are pleased to announce a price reduction on Edge and Royal Colour Paper Products from September 1, 2010,’ Dessmann writes this week in a letter to customers.

‘In the current economic times this is a very positive move for your business and the reduction of approximately 10 percent should assist you in this highly competitive market,’ he continued.

The new price list is being issued this week.

APS has also improved efficiencies in the form of faster despatch times (same day if the order is received before 2pm) in addition to the attraction of ordering a range of Kodak products on the same invoice.

APS appointed a team of state sales managers at the end of July ‘to better serve the Kodak Express members and photo specialty channel’.
