IPIC 2017 all about building momentum

The International Printing and Imaging Conference (IPIC 2017) will take place through the second week in July this year at the luxurious M Resort Spa and Casino, Las Vegas.
The main conference will take place over three days (July 10-12), bookended by an optional 2-day Boot Camp (July 8-9) on the weekend, and a networking/small group meeting day on Thursday, July 13.

Cost for Australian and New Zealand IPI members is just US$199, which includes resort-standard breakfast, lunch and dinner over the three days, and with the low priced airfares to Las Vegas currently being advertised, the 2017 conference represents great value. Plus a tax-deductible opportunity to escape the middle of winter here!

Attendees from Australia and New Zealand tend to be among the leaders in local photo retailing, and most return every year or at least alternative years. Repeat customers are generally satisfied customers. Having attended IPIC in 2014 and 2016, and based on attendee input, a retailer would either have low energy levels or be a little obtuse not to enjoy a return on the investment of time and money to attend!

This year builds on initiatives launched last year, and in addition a range of fresh money-making products and services to be introduced.

IPI has been particularly focussed recently on the opportunities available in developing a B2B component in photo retailing. With the new Print Refinery store concept now a reality, participating retailers will be sharing their success stories and telling conference goers what really works in this new frontier in photo – and printing – services. One of the two Boot Camps will outline how to make an extra $100-120K return in the first year offering local businesses sign and display graphics (the biggest earner) promotional products, business printing, commercial photography and custom framing.

The Premium Platinum sponsor for IPIC 2017 is Fujifilm USA. (True!)

Retailers interested in joining the IPI Network can contact Australian and New Zealand partner Independent Photographic Services.
