Polaroid upgrades hybrid instant/snapshooter

pkina-dinkusPolaroid’s new Snap Touch not only adds a touch screen to the original Snap, but boosts higher sensor resolution and accepts a microSD card up to 128GB for ‘non-instant’ digital picture-taking.

blue_front_printThe Snap Touch incorporates an integrated printer using Polaroid’s Zink printing technology to print instant 2 x 3-inch photographs. Images are captured on a 13-megapixel CMOS sensor and the new model is capable of recording 1080p Full-HD video.

Bluetooth connectivity to the Polaroid Print app for iOS or Android allows for printing from other devices, such as smartphones or tablets, and the app also offers editing functions including a range of filters and digital stickers.

The paper itself has a self-adhesive back that allows the prints to be used as stickers.

Up to 10 images can be queued, so that you can keep shooting while the Snap Touch is printing. For the selfie shooter, there’s a self-timer and a pop-up mirror for easy framing. Printing time is under a minute.

The Polaroid Snap Touch will be available in Australia prior to Christmas in a range of colours. No local price details, but US recommended price is US$180.
