OM-D E-M1 MkII, flash and bag in December

Olympus Australia has confirmed availability and pricing of the previously flagged OM-D E-M1 Mark II, splashproof macro STF-8 Twin Flash and CBG-12 backpack.

olympus-backpackGood news for retailers is that the OM-D E-M1 Mark II is scheduled for December 2016 availability. Japanese camera industry website Daily Camera News reported last month that it would be in very limited supply until January, with delays due to the Kumamoto eathquake’s ongoing impact on Sony sensor manufacturing.

The E-M1 MkII shoots at up to 18 fps with AF/AE tracking. It features a newly developed TruePic VIII image processor, 20-megapixel Live MOS sensor with 121-point all cross-type on-chip phase detection AF sensor, and advanced 5-axis Image Stabilization.

RRP is A$2799 and NZ$3199.

The macro flash STF-8 is dustproof, splashproof and freezeproof (-10°C). When combined with the dustproof and splashproof performance of the OM-D series cameras and an M.Zuiko lens, this macro system is suitable for shooting indoors or outdoors.

RRP is A$699 and NZ$899.

The CBG-12 backpack can store the entire Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II system with room to spare, and features a load distribution design for minimal fatigue when carried for long periods of time.

RRP is A$499, NZ$599 NZD.
