Fujifilm unveils selfie camera, new lens

Fujifilm has announced the October availability of the X-A3, a 24-megapixel APS-C sensor compact camera with a 180° slide-and-tilt LCD for taking selfies – this one’s designed for the hip youth! A XF 23mm FR R WR wide-angle lens has also been unveiled.
fujifilm-x-a3.0.0The stylish faux leather-clad X series camera will please Instagrammers with Film Simulation functions, offering 11 in-camera modes, and 10 Advanced Filters, removing the need for any post-filter application.

It has a ISO range from 200-6400, extendable to 25600, and a newly designed colour reproduction technology.

The tilting LCD shows 100 percent visibility from the front and back, and a special grip shaped for selfies. There’s also a vertical command dial allowing users to focus and release the shutter for maximum selfie satisfaction.

Other features include:
– Full HD recording;
– Max speed of 1/32,000 scond;
– Smile detection shutter release, and Buddy Timer and Group Timer modes;
– Eye Detection AF;
– Built-in pop-up flash for accurately light control;
– Battery life of 410 frames;
– WiFi.

It comes with a XC 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OIS II lens, and has a $949 RRP.

Fujinon 23mm wide-angle lens
The Fujinon XF 23mm wide-angle lens is a compact, 180 gram offering from Fujifilm. It has a focal length up to 35mm.

An uses inner-focus AF system and stepping motor for a fast and silent autofocus.

The lens is made of 10 elements in six groups, including two aspherical positioned to ensure image flatness and edge-to-edge sharpness.

It’s dust and weather resistant.

It’s RRP is $699 and will be available from late September.
