shexp1Canon unveils four Pixma printers
Canon Australia has announced a four new All-in-One Pixma Home Advanced ‘hero’ printers – the Pixma MG7760, MG6860, MG5760, and MG3660.

The printers offer a range of new printing functions directly from Instagram. They have six individual ink tanks and improved red ink quality for vivid web prints; fast print; copy and scan features; and wireless, cloud and fax connectivity.

Canon’s new PIXMA Home Advanced range is currently available from most retailers. The range is available in various colours, including Red, Black, White/Silver, Black/Silver and White to match to your personal style.

shortexp2FAA announces US drone registration
The Federal Aviation Administration in the US has given droner operators until February 19 to register their unmanned aerial vehicles which weigh between .55 and 55 pounds. Going live from December 21, registration requires the operator’s name, home address, and e-mail address.

Registration is valid for three years and costs US$5, however those who sign up by January 20 do not need to pay a fee.

In return operators receive a certificate with an identification number, which must be listed on the aircraft. The registration is only for recreational and hobbyist droner owners for now, with plans to roll out registration for a wide range of other uses, such as commercial.

shortexp3Olympus telephoto lens incoming
Olympus is set to release a 300mm f4 PRO lens on January 6, 2016 at CES with an estimated price tag of US$2500.

The lens is designed for Micro Four Thirds cameras and provides a 35mm focal length equilivant of 600mm and gives a constant aperture of f4.

Additionally it will be dust and splash proof and roughly the same size as the 40-150m lens, IS on/off, a focus limiter switch.

No more is known about the lens and the announcement came from rumour website, 43 Rumours.

GoPro has revealed the name of its forthcoming camera drone will be called the GoPro Karma.

The action camera company has been tight lipped about the new drone, but has said it will fold up to be ‘ultra portable’.

GoPro released a teaser video for the new drone which featured video footage captured from the device.
