Canon confirms new release leaks

CP+-dingusThe rumours about Canon new releases prior to CP+ proved uncannily accurate, with the two 53-megapixel full frame DSLRs (EOS 5DS, 5DS R), the two enthusiast models to replace the EOS 700D and 70D (EOS 750D, 760D), and Canon’s re-take on mirrorless, the EOS M3, all being confirmed late on Friday, Feburary 6.

M3A new professional lens (EF 11-24mm f/4L USM) and two new compacts, a 40x zoom (Powershot SX410 IS) and a stylish model (Ixus 275 HS) were also announced. In addition a prototype of the Powershot G3 X premium compact with a 1-inch sensor and a 24-600mm equivalent lens will be shown at CP+.

Local release dates are, in chronological order:
EF 11-24mm f/4L USM: March (No local pricing. US$2999)
PowerShot SX410 IS: March (No local pricing. US$279)
EOS 750D, 760D: April (No local pricing. US749 and US$849, body only)
Ixus 275 HS: April (No local pricing. US$210 – Elph 350 HS)
EOS M3: April (No local pricing. 770 Euros)
EOS 5DS and 5DS R: June (No local pricing, US$3699 and US3899 body only)
